Construction case of HQF100 pneumatic down-the-hole drilling rig in the Philippines
2024-07-22
1. Project Background
The slope protection of the infrastructure project of the Philippine customer requires large-scale drilling operations. According to the project requirements, the HQF100 pneumatic drill is selected as the main construction equipment because it is efficient, flexible, and suitable for a variety of geological conditions.

2. Equipment Features
As a type of down-the-hole drill, the HQF100 pneumatic drill may have the following characteristics:

High efficiency: It uses a pneumatic motor as a power source, has a high speed and impact energy, and can quickly penetrate rocks of various hardness.

Flexibility: Pneumatic drills are usually small in size, easy to operate in narrow or complex terrain, and are not limited by power supply.

Wide applicability: It is suitable for a variety of geological conditions, including medium-hard to hard rock layers.

Easy maintenance: The pneumatic system is relatively simple, with low maintenance costs, and is easy to repair and maintain in the field environment.

4. Construction preparation
Site survey: Conduct geological surveys of the drilling site to understand the rock type, hardness, crack development, etc., so as to select appropriate drilling parameters and drilling methods.

Equipment debugging: Debug the HQF100 pneumatic drill to ensure that it is in the best working condition. Including checking the integrity and performance of components such as the air pressure system, impactor, and drill rod.

Material preparation: Prepare enough materials required for construction such as drill rods, drill bits, and compressed air.

5. Construction process
Drilling positioning: Determine the specific location and angle of the drill hole according to the design requirements and actual site conditions.

Install the drill rig: Install the HQF100 pneumatic drill rig to the designated location, and fix the drill frame and guide device.

Start drilling: Start the air compressor to provide enough compressed air for the pneumatic drill rig. At the same time, operate the drill rig for drilling operations, pay attention to controlling the drilling speed and pressure to avoid damage to the drill bit and drill rod.

Deslagging and adding rods: During the drilling process, timely discharge drilling debris such as rock cuttings and soil. When the drill rod is insufficient in length, extend the drill rod in time to continue drilling.

Drilling completion: When the designed hole depth is reached or when encountering a special formation that cannot continue drilling, stop drilling and pull out the drill rod and drill bit.

6. Construction Effect
By using the HQF100 pneumatic drill for construction, the project party may have achieved the following effects:

Improved construction efficiency: The high efficiency and flexibility of the pneumatic drill make drilling operations faster and more accurate, shortening the construction period.
Reduced construction costs: Although the initial investment of the pneumatic drill may be high, its long-term operating costs are low and maintenance is simple, which helps to reduce the overall construction cost.
Guaranteed construction quality: The stability and wide applicability of the HQF100 pneumatic drill help ensure that the accuracy and quality of the drilling operation meet the design requirements.
